As the monkey grew larger and stronger, many expected it to become more independent. In the wild, young monkeys slowly learn to explore on their own, climbing trees, searching for food, and spending more time away from their mothers. But this monkey was different. Even though it had already grown much bigger, it still preferred to stay close to its mother every single day.
Whenever the mother monkey moved through the trees, the young monkey followed closely behind. Instead of walking or climbing on its own, it often reached out to cling tightly to her body. It wrapped its arms around her and held on, finding comfort in being close. The mother carried the extra weight patiently, even though the monkey was no longer a tiny baby.
