In the warm, sunny corner of the rescue yard, little monkey Papo was having the best afternoon of his life. He swung on a low branch, rolled on the soft sand, and munched happily on a piece of ripe papaya. Everything was peaceful—until something unexpected entered his playground.
From beneath a fallen leaf, a millipede slowly crawled out, its shiny body gliding across the ground with dozens of tiny legs moving in perfect rhythm. The creature wasn’t dangerous, just curious, exploring its surroundings at its own gentle pace. But to Papo, who was busy daydreaming, this tiny visitor was about to become the biggest shock of his day.
Papo turned around, ready to grab his toy, when he noticed something long and wiggly approaching him. He froze instantly, eyes widening as if he had seen a ghost. The millipede kept inching forward… closer… and closer…
And then—BOOM!
Papo leaped straight into the air, arms flailing wildly, letting out a squeaky scream that echoed across the yard. His reaction was so sudden and dramatic that even the other animals paused, unsure whether something serious had happened—or if Papo was simply being Papo.
The caregivers burst into laughter. Papo stood on a rock, staring down at the millipede like it was a giant monster threatening his entire kingdom. Every time the millipede twitched, Papo twitched twice as hard, hopping from one foot to the other in pure panic.
Trying to be brave, he slowly lowered himself to investigate, stretching his hand with extreme caution. But the moment the millipede moved even half a centimeter, Papo shot backward like a rocket, rolling onto his back and making the funniest, most dramatic facial expression anyone had ever seen.
Eventually, the millipede calmly wandered away, unaware of the chaos it had created. Papo stood tall afterward, pretending he had been in control the whole time.
