Then she made her move. One paw stretched out… then another. Her tiny legs scrambled to lift her up, tail balancing like a tightrope walker. Her body wobbled dangerously, and I gasped softly. “Cici! Stop!”
But it was too late — she was halfway up before realizing the challenge. Her little squeaks filled the room, part excitement, part panic. She froze for a moment, tiny fingers clutching the edge, looking straight at me with wide, shocked eyes. It was the classic oops, maybe this is harder than I thought face.
I quickly stepped in, gently guiding her down before she lost her balance. She protested softly, giving tiny squeaks as if saying, “Hey! I can do it myself!” But she was safe. And once back on the floor, she shook herself off, tail flicking, eyes glinting with determination.
Cici didn’t give up. Not even a little. She took a small step back, planning her next attempt — carefully, this time — her mind working faster than her tiny legs. You could see how smart and fearless she is, even when she’s testing limits.
