She Didn’t Want This Bath… But She Tried 🛁🐒 – Baby Monkey Cici

The moment Baby Monkey Cici heard the water running, she knew.

Bath time.

Her tiny body froze in place. Just seconds ago, she had been happily playing, climbing over cushions and chattering softly to herself. But now? She slowly turned her head toward the bathroom with wide, suspicious eyes.

She didn’t run.

She didn’t cry.

But she definitely did not approve.

When I gently picked her up, she clung to me tighter than usual. Her little fingers wrapped around my shirt, and she tucked her face into my shoulder as if pretending the bath simply didn’t exist. If she couldn’t see it, maybe it wasn’t real.

Poor Cici.

As I brought her closer to the warm water, she let out a soft, unhappy sound. Not loud. Not dramatic. Just a quiet protest to let me know she wasn’t excited about this plan.

Her toes touched the water first.

She quickly pulled one foot back, looking at me like, “Why?”

I smiled and slowly lowered her in. She stiffened for a second, shoulders tight, eyes slightly squinted. You could tell she was trying to be brave. She didn’t scream or fight — she just looked unsure.

I gently poured warm water over her back.

She flinched a little… then looked down at the ripples forming around her. Her breathing slowed. The water wasn’t scary. It was warm. Calm. Safe.

Still, she gave me that sad little face — the one that says she would rather be anywhere else right now.

But she stayed.

She didn’t struggle.

She tried.

As I softly rubbed soap into her fur, she watched closely, her tiny hands resting on the edge of the tub. Every now and then, she made a small sound, as if reminding me she wasn’t fully happy about this. But she didn’t give up.

That’s what made it so sweet.

By the time I rinsed her off, her body had relaxed. She even started touching the bubbles, poking them gently with her fingers. The fear was gone — replaced by quiet curiosity.

When I wrapped her in a soft towel, she melted into it immediately. Her clean fur fluffed up as I dried her gently.

She didn’t want this bath.

But she tried.

And in the end, Baby Monkey Cici was warm, fresh, and just a little proud of herself. 🛁🐒💛
