Innocent TanTan Sad Hug Mom’s Hand Can’t Join Meal With Trio MMM

Little TanTan sat quietly in the corner, eyes wide, lips trembling, holding tightly to his mom’s hand. His innocent face was full of sadness. Today, he could not join the playful Trio MMM—Milo, Mimi, and Mumu—for the usual joyful meal.
The Trio was already gathered at the food bowl, giggling, snatching fruits, and teasing each other as they munched. The air was filled with the sounds of laughter and crunching. But TanTan didn’t move. His tummy was hungry, but his heart was heavier. He simply stayed close to his mom, holding on with both little arms like a lifeline.
TanTan wasn’t sick, but his spirit was low. Earlier that day, one of the trio had accidentally pushed him while playing, and he got scared. Since then, he didn’t have the courage to approach the group again. He was too shy, too unsure, too small in heart to try.
His mom looked down at him gently, stroking his back as he leaned on her leg. She understood—he was still innocent, still learning about the big world around him. She offered him a piece of soft banana in her hand, but TanTan didn’t reach for it. He just leaned his head against her fingers, needing comfort more than food.
The Trio MMM looked back and paused. Mimi tilted her head. Milo stepped closer. Mumu stopped chewing. For a moment, they all sensed something was wrong. Slowly, Milo came forward and dropped a fruit near TanTan’s feet. Then Mimi and Mumu joined, offering food with a soft grunt. It was their way of saying, “It’s okay, come back.”
TanTan looked up, eyes glassy but curious. Maybe next meal, maybe tomorrow, he’ll feel brave again. For now, he has his mom’s hand and a little fruit from friends.
Even in sadness, kindness finds its way to the quiet ones.
