She Acted Sick… But It Was Bath Time 😅 – Baby Monkey Cici
Baby Monkey Cici is very smart. Too smart sometimes.
This morning, she was perfectly fine — running around, climbing on the pillows, and making her usual happy little sounds. She had energy, she was playful, and everything seemed normal.
Until she heard the water running.
The moment that familiar bath-time sound reached her ears, everything changed.
Suddenly, Cici slowed down. She stopped mid-step and sat down very quietly. Her bright, playful eyes turned into the most dramatic, sleepy-looking eyes you’ve ever seen. She lowered her head slightly and gave a soft, pitiful little cough.
Cough.
I paused.
Just seconds ago, she was bouncing like a tiny ball of energy.
Now? She looked like the weakest little monkey in the world.
She even laid down on her tummy, resting her head on the floor as if she didn’t have the strength to move. One eye slightly open… checking if I was watching.
Oh, I was watching.
I gently called her name. No response. She let out a tiny sigh, acting completely exhausted. If you didn’t know better, you might think she needed a full day of rest.
But when I walked toward the bathroom and picked up the towel…
Her eyes opened wider.
Just a little.
Then she quickly closed them again, pretending to be tired.
Nice try, Cici.
I carried her toward the bath area, and suddenly the “sick” monkey came back to life. Her hands grabbed onto my shirt tightly. Her legs kicked softly. The dramatic weakness disappeared instantly.
When her tiny toes touched the warm water, she forgot all about her performance. She made her usual little protest sounds, looking at me as if asking why I didn’t believe her earlier.
Because I know you too well, little one.
Once the warm water ran over her back, she relaxed like she always does. The soap bubbles caught her attention, and she started poking at them curiously. The “sick” act was completely gone now.
By the time I wrapped her in the soft towel, she looked fresh, fluffy, and perfectly healthy.
After bath time, she ran off to play again — full of energy, no cough, no tired face.
She may have tried her best to act sick…
But Baby Monkey Cici can’t fool me when it’s bath time. 😅🐒🛁💛
