Baby Monkey Luci Didn’t Want a Bath Today 🐒 – Baby Monkey Cici
Today was supposed to be bath day for Baby Monkey Luci… but Luci had other plans.
The moment she heard the sound of water running in the bathroom, her little ears twitched. She paused in the middle of chewing her snack and slowly turned her head toward the sound. Her big round eyes widened. Oh no. She knew exactly what that sound meant.
Bath time.
Luci quickly looked around the room, thinking fast. In just seconds, she jumped off the chair and ran behind the sofa. Her tiny hands covered her face as if that would make her invisible. “If I can’t see you, you can’t see me!” her actions seemed to say.
But her fluffy tail was still sticking out from behind the sofa.
When her caregiver gently called her name, Luci peeked out with one eye. She gave the cutest, most dramatic sad face. Her lips pushed forward in a tiny pout, and she made a soft complaining sound. She wasn’t dirty—at least not in her opinion! Yes, she had rolled on the floor. Yes, she had climbed near the garden. But to Luci, that was just fun, not a reason for a bath.
When the towel appeared, Luci made her next move. She dashed across the room and climbed up onto a shelf, hugging a pillow tightly. She looked down as if she had reached a safe mountain peak. From up there, she felt victorious.
But bath time could not be avoided forever.
Slowly and gently, she was carried to the bathroom. Luci held onto her caregiver’s shirt with both hands, still making tiny protest sounds. When her feet touched the warm water, she stiffened. She looked shocked for a second.
Then something changed.
The water wasn’t cold. It was warm and soothing. The gentle splashing didn’t feel scary at all. When soft soap bubbles touched her arms, she blinked in surprise. She even tapped the water with her fingers, watching the ripples spread.
Within minutes, her protests faded. Luci relaxed. She let out a tiny sigh and sat calmly while being washed. By the end, she was even playing with the bubbles.
Wrapped in a soft towel afterward, Luci looked clean, fluffy, and very proud of herself. Maybe bath time wasn’t so bad after all.
But tomorrow? She might pretend to forget that. 🐒
