Little A Tong, the newborn baby monkey, squirmed and wiggled nonstop this morning. His tiny hands scratched at his belly and lower area, clearly uncomfortable. New mama noticed right away—A Tong had developed redness and irritation in his most sensitive area. Poor little one! Being so new to the world, even a little itch made him fuss and cry.
New mama gently placed A Tong on a soft blanket, speaking softly to calm him. She carefully removed his diaper and saw the irritated rash that had made her baby so uncomfortable. With loving hands, she prepared a mild, safe cream to help soothe his delicate skin.
It was A Tong’s first time experiencing this cream, and he seemed surprised by the cool feeling. He kicked a little and let out a soft squeak, but mama reassured him with a sweet touch and soft words. “Shhh, it’s okay, baby. Mama is helping.”
After applying the cream, she gently rubbed it in with her fingertip, making sure not to hurt his tiny body. A Tong stopped crying and slowly relaxed under her gentle care. He blinked his eyes sleepily, already feeling relief.
Mama then gave him a fresh diaper and held him close to her chest. A Tong snuggled into her warmth, comforted by her heartbeat and scent. His little tail curled up, and before long, he was fast asleep in her arms.
Even as a new mother, she was learning fast—every cry, every wiggle, every itch was a message from her baby. And today, she answered with love and gentle care. A Tong would grow strong and healthy, thanks to a mama who never stopped watching, learning, and loving.
